TOM HARDY will win big awards for acting in the future – but none will match Best Actor in the 2010 Biz Awards.
The London lad was superb as Eames in Hollywood blockbuster Inception.
And here he is back in 1998 winning a modelling competition on The Big Breakfast in association with The Sun.
The star left this message from Istanbul, where he is filming: “Thanks a million to The Sun. I will celebrate this achievement with you in the pub on my return to London.”
The list of films he has signed up for is seriously impressive, with the remake of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and the next Batman movie just two of them.
The nominees for the London Critics’ Circle Awards have been announced.
Another Year and The King’s Speech lead with seven nominations apiece.
The London Critics’ Circle Awards will take place on February 10, 2011 at the BFI Southbank.
British Actor in a Supporting Role:
- David Bradley, Another Year
- Andrew Garfield, The Social Network
- Tom Hardy, Inception
- Peter Wight, Another Year
- Pierce Brosnan, The Ghost

First of, we got ourselves a winner. That is, if we can believe this shiny banner:
Tom was nominated for a Scream Awards 2010 in the category “Best Breakout Performance – Male” and if that site is correct, he received the most votes. 🙂
The show will air on Spike TV tonight at 9pm/8C.
I have no information if he’s going to be there (as he’s still in Vancouver shooting “This Means War” but you want to turn in since Tom’s co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt won in the category “Best Supporting Actor” and Inception got the most votes as the “Best Sci-Fi Movie”.
In any case, I’ll try to find videos/pictures if they come available. Unfortunately, the videos on the SpikeTV site don’t work from my location so anyone can help me out, I’d appreciate it.
Votings are now open at the People’s Choice Awards
Inception is nominated in various categories such as Best Movie and Best On Screen Team.
The list of nomination isn’t complete, though. If you think Tom deserves a nomination for Best Actor, you can click ‘other’ and fill in his name (that’s what I did).

“Inception” or things related to it are also up for voting so make sure to click the other drop-down menus as well and cast your vote. You can also suggest your own nominees, if you don’t like those on the list.
