While browsing amazon, I found this.

Tim Palen is known throughout the movie marketing industry for his daring approaches to film promotion, most specifically his provocative one-sheet posters, many featuring his own photography. Examples of his work include the arresting imagery used to promote the Saw and Hostel horror franchises, and the iconic portraits he created on behalf of W, Precious, and For Colored Girls. As Paula Burr has written, Palen’s movie poster photography attempts “to boil [the image] down to the essence of the film. It is all about finding simplicity, a singular iconic image, something that evokes emotion.”

The Men of Warrior gathers together Palen’s no-holds-barred shoot for the upcoming Lionsgate film Warrior, starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as two brothers who face the fight of a lifetime in the high-stakes world of Mixed Martial Arts. In these pages, Hardy and Edgerton show off their hard-earned fighting bodies and bloodied upper lips, capturing the tough and dramatic world of Warrior in a series of iconic images, all of which are poster-worthy.

The book will be available on August 9th 2011. You can pre-order it here.

On this fine, snowy morning, I bring you…

First of, there’s been (almost confirmed) rumors of Tom joining Shia LaBeouf ‘The Promised Land’

John Hillcoat‘s previously—and tragically—fallen Nick Cave-scripted adaptation of Matt Bondurant‘s depression-era Prohibition drama “The Wettest County In The World” has reportedly been revived through independent financing with lensing now set to begin this upcoming Spring, the same timeframe Hillcoat was set to shoot the original iteration a year earlier.

And, as if that wasn’t joyous enough? Much-loved rising British actor Tom Hardy is also set to star as one in a trio of bootlegging brothers along side Shia LaBeouf, who has been attached in the role since early in the project’s conception along side the likes of Ryan Gosling, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Dano, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, none of whom are now mentioned.

Tom Hardy will be reuniting with Inception director Christopher Nolan for a lead role in the next Batman film!

Deadline reports Warner Bros. won’t say if he’s up for a villain role, but that seems a “reasonable assumption.” We agree!

Tom has been in Vancouver with Chris Pine, Reese Witherspoon, and Chelsea Handler shooting the McG-directed comedy This Means War.

We can’t wait for the new Batman movie!!!

@PUNKD_Images also tells us that Christopher Nolan was in Vancouver recently (where Tom is recently filming ‘This Means War’), scouting for the Batman movie

EXCLUSIVE: While Tom Hardy’s plan to play Mad Max in the George Miller-directed Mad Max: Fury Road has hit another delay, the fast-rising Hardy’s in the mix for another big film at Warner Bros. I’m told that Hardy has been set by his Inception director Chris Nolan for a lead role in the next Batman film at Warner Bros. Insiders are keeping the role secret and won’t even say if he’s up for a villain role, but that seems a reasonable assumption. Hardy has followed up Inception with lead roles in the Tomas Alfredson-directed adaptation of the John Le Carre novel Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, and he’s currently starring with Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon in the McG-directed Fox comedy This Means War. CAA reps Hardy, who’s expected to return to Fury Road when it goes.
